The United Arab Emirates is bracing for a rise in temperatures and increased humidity during the Eid Al Adha holiday, as forecasted by the National Center of Meteorology. The holiday period will see generally fair to partly cloudy skies, with the mercury climbing as the summer season draws near.
Residents can expect a slight dip in temperatures on Sunday, with the possibility of fog or mist developing in western and coastal areas during the night and early mornings. However, the hotter weather is set to make a comeback starting Monday, aligning with the beginning of the Eid break for government workers.
Throughout the holiday, temperatures are anticipated to soar to around 43°C in Al Ain and 41°C in Fujairah. Winds will be light to moderate, sometimes reaching speeds of up to 35 km/h. The nights and early mornings will be marked by higher humidity levels, particularly in coastal regions.
Despite these changes, the seas in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to remain calm. The rising temperatures highlight the transition from a relatively mild spring into the UAE’s summer season, with several regions already experiencing over 40°C in recent weeks.
As the northern hemisphere officially welcomes summer on June 21, the UAE is gearing up for the hotter conditions typical of this time of year.
