Abu Dhabi Calls for Oil Loading Resumption Post US-Iran Agreement

by admin477351

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has announced the resumption of crude oil shipments from its Das and Zirku island ports in the Persian Gulf, citing a recent US-Iran agreement that has improved conditions and ensured the continuity of maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. The company has informed its customers that crude oil has been available for loading since April 27 and emphasized the importance of collecting scheduled shipments to avoid breaching contractual obligations. To support buyers facing logistical issues, ADNOC has also offered assistance through its tanker fleet and affiliated services.

This decision marks a significant step for Gulf oil producers as they work to reestablish normal export operations following disruptions in the region. ADNOC remains a key player in the oil export market, having sold tens of millions of barrels through tenders, and continues to be one of the most active exporters in the area.

In addition to reopening ports, the United Arab Emirates is actively working on diversifying its export routes to lessen dependence on the Strait of Hormuz. The country is expediting infrastructure projects, particularly focused on enhancing pipeline capacity to the port of Fujairah on the Gulf of Oman. This development aims to facilitate more crude exports that bypass the critical waterway, thereby ensuring more stable and secure oil transport options.

The resumption of oil shipments and the expansion of alternative routes reflect a strategic move by the UAE to bolster its oil export resilience amid geopolitical uncertainties. By increasing pipeline capacity and enhancing port infrastructure, the UAE is positioning itself to maintain a steady flow of crude exports regardless of regional tensions. This approach not only secures the nation’s oil export capabilities but also contributes to global energy market stability.
