The United Arab Emirates has unveiled a new nationwide campaign aimed at rallying citizens and residents to express their loyalty and support for President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This initiative underscores his pivotal role in enhancing the nation’s security, stability, and international stature. Introduced by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the “Pledge and Commitment” campaign was launched at a significant event held at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre, which saw the attendance of over 4,800 individuals, including citizens, residents, students, investors, academics, and business leaders.
This campaign is designed to emphasize the President’s contributions to the UAE’s national development, built upon four fundamental principles: fostering unity and coexistence, drawing inspiration from leadership values, reinforcing civic responsibility and national identity, and expressing gratitude for the nation’s prosperity and stability. In an effort to reach a broader audience, the initiative has been extended online through a dedicated website and a QR code, enabling participation from people across the UAE digitally. The organizers plan to sustain the campaign through collaborations with companies, universities, and community organizations, alongside multilingual online engagement and public events.
The launch of this initiative follows a period marked by national solidarity due to earlier regional security tensions. The UAE has witnessed a surge in patriotic displays, with the national flag prominently featured at homes, offices, and public buildings. These displays are in response to calls from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to celebrate the nation’s unity and resilience.
Participants of the campaign are encouraged to pledge their loyalty and support for President Sheikh Mohamed, recognizing him as a leader who ensures the nation’s security, advocates for progress, and exemplifies dedication and service to the country. Upon signing the pledge online, participants receive a digital certificate of appreciation, which can be downloaded and shared.
